The Next Big Thing Blog Hop

Seasons Greetings and Happy New Year!

Welcome and Thank you for visiting  my blog.  Gratitude to Connie Rhinehart, the Mastermind behind the Phalon Series  (APPLAUSE!) for tagging me on the NEXT BIG THING Blog Hop!

So Here WE Go!

Q: What is the working title for your book?

A: My book is titled “Styx and Stones”. It is the first book in the Stygian Affairs Trilogy.

Q: Where did the idea come from for the book?

A: I wondered the halls of my mind and questioned what our personal demons would look like if we make them tangible, give them a body and voice. And from there, I used Dante’s Inferno the Divine Comedy to thread the story.

Q: What genre does your book fall under?

A: Fantasy definitely. I haven’t ran into any dark elves yet. Just a few demons (lol).

Q: Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

A: Idris Alba as Raum Corvus.idRIS

Zoe Saldana as Jessa Belle Jones.Zoe

Luke Goss as Rawon Malusrawon

Q: What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

A: Hmm! Let see. When her father Mephistopheles announces her betrothal to Abaddon, the General of the Stygian Armies, Jessa Belle Jones looks to Tinseller to thwart her father’s plan, but she does not expect Raum Corvus, the mysterious great Earl of the Ninth Circle of Hell nor the secret that might unravel her at the seams.

Q: Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

A: I hope to be represented by an agency (soon I hope, LOL). However, I will query publishing houses as well.

Q: How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

A:  One year.
Q:What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

A: I haven’t came across any comparable stories but if you enjoy Jory Strong’s Ghostland, Nalini Singh’s Archangel’s Consort, you’ll definitely like Styx and Stones.

Q: Who or what inspired you to write this book?

A: The Magic City Miami Beach, Florida and its cultural diversity.

Q: What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

A: I think it is about our personal sins and desires and the cost we are willing to pay to attain them. And off course, you throw in the mix love, lost and lots of demonic magic.

Now it’s my turn to tag and Georgia Lyn Hunter is it! She is my awesome critique partner and my springboard for all the hellish ideas I seem to always concoct. Here is the link to her page you will not be regret it. She is the author of Darkness Undone  and keeper of The Empyrean Shadow Lord Series.
