Character Blog Hop: Meet Raum and Jessa

When fellow author and friend Georgia Lyn Hunter tagged me for this blog hop requesting to interview the ever elusive Raum Corvus and his new bride Jessa, the main characters of my debut novel Infernal Ice, I knew convincing Raum would be a challenge. But in the end, Jessa’s coaxing won him over.

As I waited at the Starbucks on the corner of Washington Ave and 12th Street in Miami Beach FL, Raum and Jessa walk in hand in hand. Jessa goes to the counter to order a Chai Latte as Raum strolls over.

Raum sits directly across me waiting for his wife to join us.

Raum : “Good to see you again Lyn.”

Lyn: “Likewise.”

Jessa joins us.

Lyn: “So let’s get started.”

1. Raum is your character fictional or a historic person?

“I assure you, I’m very real.”

Jessa gives him an approving smile. “As am I.”

2. When and where is the story set?

Jessa: “Present day, of course.”It’s set between my hometown, Magic City Miami Beach and Sheol, Raum’s realm and our new homestead.”

3. Raum tell one thing we should know about Jessa?

Raum: “Do you mind babe?”

Jessa: “Go head sweetie.”

Raum: “Hmm… Oh! Yea, Jessa snores something terrible”

Jessa: “Raum!”

4. What is the main conflict? Raum- Jessa?

Raum: “A psychopathic Mage who almost cost me the love of my life.”

Jessa nods in agreement.
5. Raum, a personal goal in this story?

Raum’s eyes shifted to their preternatural obsidian. “Revenge.”

6. Is this novel published?

Jessa: “A sneak peak of Infernal Ice available under the WIPS section and the novel will be available on December 18th, 2014 on Amazon, B&N and Kobo.
